authority or power given to someone to do something.

  • the process of becoming stronger and more confident, especially in controlling one's life and claiming one's rights.

Women’s Empowerment

The term " women’s empowerment" refers to the process of providing power to women to stand up against systematic oppression and to help them lead healthy, prosperous lives. Investing in, specifically, women’s economic empowerment is central to ending poverty, creating economic growth, and realizing women’s rights and gender equality.

Economic Empowerment

Economic empowerment includes ability to participate in existing markets; access to decent, dignified work at living wages, control over their own time, lives and bodies, and increased voice, agency and meaningful participation in economic decision-making at all levels from the household to international institutions.

“The cornerstone of empowerment is dignity.”

We believe that we should take our faith seriously, not ourselves.

There's no such thing as too much time with Jesus or too much chocolate.

We believe in offering a hand up, not a handout.

The cornerstone of empowerment is dignity.

We believe in saying 'yes' first, and figuring it out later.

Sometimes we plan, and sometimes we plan to wing it.

We believe that orphan care starts with family care.

Healthy mommas care for would-be orphans.

We believe in sharing our triumphs and trials as a community.

We laugh until we cry, and cry until we laugh.

We believe that failure is part of the process.

Sometimes you win, sometimes you learn.

We believe that poverty is not a disqualifier for purpose.

When you realize nothing is lacking, the whole world belongs to you.

We believe that pain is real, but so is hope.

We keep moving, keep praying, and keep our heads held high.

We believe in dreaming big and starting small.

We find joy for the ordinary, and trust God for the extraordinary.

We believe that God honors boldness and bravery.

When we fly in faith, God does immeasurably more than all we could ask or imagine.
